Senior Software Engineer Job in  Japan with Visa Sponsorship

Job Position: Senior Software Engineer Job in  Japan with Visa Sponsorship
Company: MeetsMore
Salary: ¥7,000,000 – ¥10,000,000 per year
Location: Tokyo, Japan

At MeetsMore, we aren’t just building features for clients—we’re building our own product. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who loves solving “real-world” puzzles, like perfecting matching algorithms and giving back to the community. In fact, making PRs to open-source projects is just a normal part of our workday here.

What you’ll actually be doing

  • Full-Stack Ownership: Working primarily in TypeScript, using React on the frontend and Nest.js/Prisma on the backend.
  • Tackle Hard Problems: You’ll dive into technically challenging areas, like improving our core matching logic.
  • Bridge the Gap: You’ll work closely with our business and ops teams. We don’t hide our engineers in a basement; you’re a key part of the product’s direction.
  • Open Source: Since we use open-source tools, we encourage you to contribute back to them while you work.

Why you’ll love the move

  • Visa Sponsorship: If you’re outside of Japan, we’ve got you covered with full visa support to get you to Tokyo.
  • No “LeetCode” Stress: Our interview process is realistic. In our coding stage, you can use Google and Stack Overflow—just like you do in real life.
  • Real Impact: You’ll be talking directly with our CTO, Fumi-san, and helping shape a product that people actually use.

Is this you?

  • The Experience: You’ve got 7+ years in the game, with at least 2 years spent at a single company (we value stability!).
  • Product Mindset: You have experience working at a product-focused company. (Heads up: if you’ve only worked in consulting/outsourcing, this likely won’t be the right fit).
  • Tech Skills: You’re a pro with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and automated testing.
  • Language: You have conversational Japanese (around JLPT N3 level) and can communicate clearly with non-technical teammates.
  • Bonus Points: Tell us if you’re a fan of Docker, AWS/GCP, or if you’ve got a knack for Machine Learning and performance tuning.
