A family in Muscat is looking for an experienced cook to join their household. If you love cooking, know your way around different cuisines, and enjoy working in a home environment, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be planning what the family eats throughout the week – figuring out menus that work with their tastes and any dietary needs they have. Some days it might be local Omani dishes, other days they might want something international. Variety is key.

Beyond cooking, you’ll handle the kitchen stuff – grocery shopping, keeping things organized, making sure everything stays clean and safe. You’re basically running the kitchen and making sure the family eats well.

Who we’re looking for

Experience matters

• You’ve been cooking professionally for 6-10 years (private homes, restaurants, hotels – whatever works)
• You know different cooking styles and cuisines
• You can work on your own without someone constantly checking in
• You’re good at managing your time and staying organized

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Hotel Management is preferred

Good to have

• Strong communication skills (you’ll be working directly with the family)
• A flexible, positive attitude
• High standards when it comes to cleanliness and food safety
