We’re looking for a caring, reliable Care Assistant to join our team. You’ll be helping people with their day-to-day lives – whether that’s in their own homes or in a care home setting. It’s proper hands-on work that actually makes a difference to someone’s day.
What You’ll Be Doing
The role’s pretty varied, which keeps things interesting:
- Helping clients with personal care, getting dressed, washing – the basics that mean everything
- Sorting meals and making sure medication is taken properly
- Following care plans (everyone’s different, so you’ll be tailoring support to each person)
- Keeping families and healthcare staff in the loop about how things are going
- Encouraging people to stay social and connected with their community
- Keeping accurate records (bit of admin, can’t avoid it)
- Making sure the environment is clean and safe
- Driving clients to appointments or social outings when needed
What We’re After
Honestly, the main thing is that you’re a decent person who genuinely cares. Experience in home care or care homes is great, but we can work with you if you’ve got the right attitude.
You’ll Need:
- Good English – you’ll be chatting with clients, families, and colleagues all day
- Basic computer skills for keeping records
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- A driving licence is handy (not essential, but definitely useful)
Nice to Have:
- Previous care experience
- Knowledge of care plans and health & safety
