What You’ll Be Doing

The core of the job is hand-harvesting blackberries. You’ll be assigned a picking cart and your own row. Your goal is to fill 6oz or 12oz clamshell boxes with high-quality, marketable berries. Once your boxes are full, you’ll head over to the field wagon to get them checked for quality and logged for credit.

When we aren’t picking, there is general farm work to keep things running smoothly, including:

Weeding and clearing grass (by hand or with a hoe).
Pruning bushes and repairing fences or farm buildings.
Helping out with irrigation or operating farm equipment.

What We’re Looking For

This is a physical job that requires a good bit of stamina. You should be comfortable with:

Hard Work: You’ll be walking, bending, stooping, and reaching all day in various weather conditions.
Heavy Lifting: You must be able to lift 75 lbs to your shoulder repeatedly.
Experience: We need folks who have at least one to two months of verifiable experience in farm work or harvesting.
Focus: We keep a professional environment—personal cell phone use is for emergencies only so we can keep the workflow moving.
